Meet The Gun-Toting Monsters Of Palworld In New Trailer

palworldAKA “that bizarre Pokémon-ish game with guns,” there’s a new trailer that names many of the cute faces that star in this over-the-top adventure.

Meet Pal, the monster who roams the colorful but kind of messy world of Palworld. These cuddly though often dangerous critters include the seemingly love-obsessed Lavender, the grass panda Mossanda, and Tanzi, who is basically grouchy if it has a love for AK-47s. Sure, some of them boldly walk the line of being outright copies of existing Pokémon, but these can carry guns, which we imagine is enough to repel any lawyer. Watch the latest trailer below.

palworld first attracted attention In June 2021. Developer PocketPlayer bills the experience as a multiplayer open-world survival game as opposed to turn-based RPGs like Pokémon. As a human character, you can capture, befriend, train, fight, and build sails. If you consider yourself a bigger monster than what you’re catching, you sell, eat, and even directly exploit the sails for labor. On top of that, you can build houses, battle predators, and factories to employ your critters. Palworld looks insane, and we’re still not entirely convinced it’s a real video game, but we certainly want it to be.

Thankfully, PocketPlayer plans to release Pulworld in Steam Early Access sometime next year, so we hope to get a chance to try it out sooner than later. The game is currently scheduled for PC.
