A Wild Pokémon Trailer Appeared! This new look at Pokémon Scarlett and Violet focused mostly on Ed Sheeran’s new Pokémon single “Celestial,” but also included some of the bigger information we learned the first time around. The most important reveal is a glimpse of two new creatures called the Great Tusk and the Iron Treads. At first glance, they look a lot like Donfun (a Pokémon that has been confirmed for new games), but it’s not clear how they are related. They can be new regional forms, developments, or something completely new.

The trailer also shows a sneak peek of the Scarlet Book and Violet Book, the two tomes detailed on Pokémon’s official website. They’re records from an old campaign and they have notes and pictures of old Pokémon, including the new Donfan-esque creatures revealed today. The Great Tusk appears in the Scarlet Book, while the Iron Trades appears in the Violet Book. Any book that is present in your copy of the game will be carried by Arwen, one of the player’s teammates.

Two last-minute additions were also revealed at the end of the trailer. First, players who purchase the game before February 28, 2023 can get a Flying Tera type Pikachu. Second, Scarlett and Violet players will receive custom cases for their Rotom phones to save data from other Pokémon games. You can check out all the compatible games below.

Pokémon Scarlett and Violet will introduce new phone cases for players from Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu, Sword and Shield, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Legends Arceus to protect data.

Finally, we learned that the first Tera Raid Battle event, Eevee Spotlight, will run through Thursday, November 24, through Sunday, November 27, 2022. These are special raid battles that you can take part in with other players locally or online. In this example, Eevee will appear more often, giving players a chance to catch one with their favorite Tera Type.

This trailer is the latest in a long road to Pokémon Scarlett and Violet pre-launch rollouts. We’ve seen reveals for a bunch of new Pokémon like Gervard, Beliebolt, Wiggle, and more recently, Gimmeaul. We’ve also seen trailers break down all the work that trainers can do in Palladia’s three-dimensional adventure format. And first of all, we had our big Scarlett and Violet preview where we flew in to try the game out for ourselves.
