Update: Rick From Rick And Morty Hits MultiVersus Today

Update, 9/27/22:

Rick Sanchez from the Hit TV Show rick and morty Brawler, the free-to-play platform, will be available today as a playable fighter in Multiverse. He joins the game with his in-show sidekick, Morty Smith, who was added to the roster last month.

The official Multiverse Twitter account has released a short video showing a breakdown of Rick’s movesets and class types. His moves include the following:

  • Yes, Fart Bomb!: Throw a fart bomb, shoot enemies overhead.
  • Meeseek and Destroy: Call in a Meeseeks who moves, uppercuts, or prepares a golf club.
  • Basic Portal Theory: Targeting and Summoning Up to Two Portals

Update, 8/12/22:

The official Multiverse Twitter account has revealed that Season 1 for the popular Stage Fighter will begin next Monday, August 15, following the announcement of the season last week. from morty rick and mortyJoe was set to leave with Season 1, joining the roster about a week later, on August 23. Also, the team has announced that not everything that comes into the game in Season 1 will drop on the same day, citing that new modes and content will drop throughout the season.

Original Story, 8/4/2022:

The crossover brawler of our dreams, multiverse, is the latest award winning fighting genre. From adventure Time To game of Thrones, the first title from Player First Games, is a wacky fusion of the legendary franchise, captivating fans with its light-hearted art style and Super Smash-inspired gameplay. Sadly, the first season of the rising champion and the next playable character, Morty (rick and morty) has been pushed back. A final release date remains unknown.

Tweets released by the Multiverse dev team announcing the unexpected news (seen above) thank the players for their continued support and patience. You can read the full statement below:

“A big thank you to everyone who played Multiverse. It’s exciting to see so many players enjoying the game and the launch of the Open Beta is just the beginning. We want to let everyone know that we are delaying the start and release of Season 1. We know this can be frustrating for some and we want to assure our community that we are dedicated to delivering new and exciting content that delights players. We will let you know as soon as possible We appreciate your patience and enthusiasm and look forward to unveiling Season 1 very soon!”

Season 1 was earlier scheduled to launch on August 9. For now, you’ll have to keep busy kicking LeBron James’ butt. John Carson Preview Multiverse for us and concluded its findings by saying, “I went to the Multiverse’s alpha test with low expectations. Aside from Smash Bros., the big brand mash-up fighters feel hollow and offer heavy rosters, but I’m impressed by what I’ve played so far. The cast has been great so far, and each character brings unique gameplay and mechanics to the ground.”
