Warner Bros. Games has announced Mortal Kombat: Onslot, a mobile-exclusive Mortal Kombat experience. The game is described as a collectible role-playing game where players build a roster of fighters from the Mortal Kombat universe and “expose them in massive real-time group combat.” It’s more than just fighting, though – the attack also called for a cinematic story feel where fighters must defeat “dark and menacing menace.”
This isn’t the first time Mortal Kombat has appeared on a mobile device. Mortal Kombat Mobile was released in 2015 alongside Mortal Kombat X and eventually adapted Mortal Kombat 11’s characters and features as well. Mortal Kombat Mobile has been downloaded over 150 million times since its launch, so it’s no surprise that WB Games is looking to release more games from the franchise.
October 8th marked the series’ 30th anniversary, and Mortal Kombat: Attack appears to be a celebration of that. Not only is it the newest mobile game in the series, but it is also the most recent title since the release of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate in 2020.
